The beautiful area of Castagneto Carducci is an ideal destination for bikers who practise cycling either on amateur or on professional level. Thanks to slack road traffic, the variedness of the evocative settings offered by the region and to the mild climate all year round.

The sea, which has more than once been carried off the European Union’s blue flag for the clearness of its water and the numerous bathing establishments that guarantee life-guard service, offers an opportunity to practise marine sports such as underwater fishing, sailing and windsurfing.

The opportunities to walk or ride are endless through interesting itineraries, such as those that follow the Avenue of Cypress trees, the Bolgherese road (via Bolgherese) or the promenade along the beach at Marina di Castagneto, that are an excellent way to enjoy the Mediterranean flourishing vegetation and the scenery.

It is here the loveliest tract of the Etruscan Coast Wine Route: a strategic position, a generous climate and a synergy between tradition and innovation contribute to give its specific personality to the Bolgheri DOC wines, such as Sassicaia and Ornellaia, world-class wines by now and… it is here that, by silvery age-old olive trees, a rows of vines setting, born the excellent Tuscan extra-virgin olive oil.
